This was my understanding when I read through the entire thread. Two different issues.
I see it practically every piece of HDR content on scenes with colour gradients and minimal detail e.g. skies
The same content on the Infuse app, WebOS Plex app, and Nvidia Shield TV Pro Plex app doesn’t exhibit the same banding.
