Is it intended that any other account other than the server owner cannot use the new player?
Edit: It looks like that the secondary accounts that do not have Plex Pass are seeing this issue. Looks like the new version is not inheriting the Plex Pass subscription status from the server owner account.
In theory I fixed that yesterday, another user confirmed it worked. You might need to kill the app first. Please try and let me know!
I tested it today. I tried to re install the app and tested it on 3 ATVs. Do you need any other info from the player?
Edit: Just re-confirmed. The option is not in settings to switch it either. Once I switch accounts back to the server owner it is present and I am presented with the Try it out modal.
@Samwiseg0 is that other user a managed user? Or just a regular Plex user inside your Plex Home?
Managed user? Regular user. Not a managed user. They have their own Plex.tv account and has been added to my Plex home.
Sorry, as far as I know regular Plex users don’t inherit “experimental features” from the Plex Home admin

Interesting. They inherit everything else but that. Is that exception noted somewhere?
Nope, I think experimental features like this are in a “limbo” 
I confirmed with the team and that seems to be the intended and expected behavior
