Apple TV Beta Testing Invite Help

The number of beta testers for Apple TV is probably low/skewed because the beta test is for both iOS and ATV. You have to be enrolled in the iOS to even get the ATV in testflight. I don’t know how Plex could weed out non active testers, not to mention that users that accidentally got removed would come here and call for heads on pikes.

That said, it’s not like they listen to the feedback provided to the beta test. I’ve brought issues up and offered logs and ways to duplicate and never heard anything. I was told that there was a fix coming in July for the dns issue with live tv and here we are in October and there are still many posts about it weekly.

Apple might set the upper limit to 10,000, but I sort of doubt that Plex has it set that high.

I would agree, and if so, Plex should increase the limit they set.

A spot opened up this morning.

Hi @Tony_T, just wondering what TestFlight beta link you used to find the new Apple TV beta? I’ve been trying to track this down for a while. I’m in the normal iOS/iPadOS beta that has active builds but not AppleTV version, and I’m also in the Plex Experience Preview, however builds have been removed.

Appreciate any guidance.

See, and you need to join on your iPhone / iPad and then it will be available on Test Flight on Apple TV:

It’s the current Beta, but its not new.

Im still trying to get my spot back in the Apple TV preview beta. Any idea when this is gonna finally go live for apple?

They haven’t posted a new build of the beta since September 29 which is wild so who knows.

While the preview release notes were not updated, Plex released version 2025.28.0 (1302) on Oct 27 for tvOS via TestFlight.

Any idea why people get booted? I got booted a month or so ago, and can’t get back in.

Over the years, Plex have commented they occasionally cut test flight members who aren’t actively testing in order to make room for new testers.
Not sure if that applies to you.
