Is their a way to get back into the beta program? I was removed around the time a lot of people got removed randomly (Juneish) and someone from Plex sent me a re-invite on 7/17 but it only invited me to the iOS version again (which I was still part of anyways), despite saying in the email it was for tvOS as well. I am running tvOS 26 and would love to continue helping out, have been in the beta program for 5+ years but I am still not in the Apple TV one. Anyone specific I should DM happy to know.
Happy to know if I am doing something wrong as well, I don’t remember TestFlight being this annoying before haha.
From what I remember, there shouldn’t be a separate invite for the tvOS version. Though, it took my TestFlight app on the Apple TV several restarts to catch up on the existing invite.
ya its been over a month since i got the invite and the tvOS app still doesn’t show it. Maybe could I be revoked from your end and re-added? I could PM you any details you need.
maybe ill luck out a Plex staffer will see this, I believe they saw my last one which is how they re-sent the link to me in July. Unfortunately it just never worked.
@tom80H I think I figured out my problem, I forgot that the Plex Experience Preview got dropped from iOS and got merged back to the standard Plex Beta program (which I have). The tvOS only has the Experience Program currently. Any recommendations on who to bother on the forums to maybe get a link sent? I noticed the links in the “how to” guide are all dead now. Basically, I have access to Plex beta testing but not Plex Experience Beta testing (tvOS only now).
It’s not nonsense, it’s the truth, and if you don’t accept it then that’s your problem, if you can’t clear as day see that they stopped offering what you’ve paid for then I hope you enjoy throwing your money away
You missed the part where I said take your garbage somewhere else. I don’t care you hate plex, move on or in the very least make your own thread so I don’t have to be involved in the noise, because that’s exactly what this is. The Plex Experience has been in preview for 6+ months. If you didn’t know this was coming oh well.
That’s like saying you knew the brakes in your car were a subscription, and you knew they would be turned off, what’s wrong with you for being angry your car no longer functions as it should, bootlickers like you get no sympathy from me
No, it’s nothing like that bozo. Software evolves and also didn’t cost $50K to begin with. At this point plex has officially cost me less than $.01 a day, so if they choose to go off the deep end so be it, they owe me nothing at this point. Again, start your own thread, I don’t care that you don’t like Plex. Honestly it’s a bit weird and obsessive for you to be in the forums of a product you hate. You also don’t even have a plex pass so you didn’t spend any money so what do you care at all?
You can also invite up to 10,000 external testers to join your beta program. To invite external testers, you’ll first create a group in App Store Connect, add the builds you’d like them to test, and have your first build already approved by App Review for TestFlight. Your builds are automatically sent for review once they’re added to a group.
