Any updates on when the next Apple TV Plex Experience Preview Testflight will be released? Looks like it’s been a bit over 2 weeks now as my current version expires in 72 days.
Thanks.

Sorry i do not have an ETA for the next.
I know the post that you linked is from 12 days ago, but I have 2025.17.0 in TestFlight and it shows as expiring in 71 days, meaning it is almost 3 weeks old.
When there is a new one it will be listed in that thread.
Yep, I was able to install .18 on my Apple TV now, but there’s been no announcement yet.
Any ideas why not @BigWheel ?
Probably because someone forgot to.

How do I get an invitation please?
IF there’s free slots…
Can we get updated with .19?
2025.19 for Apple TV should be released Monday or Tuesday assuming nothing crazy happens with initial testing.
Most importantly, when will this be released as a general update to everyone? There are no free slots in the Beta testing and it’s not possible to play HEVC files with the app as it is right now.
We know the solution is Infuse, a third party software with paid subscription. You’re bleeding customers to a competitor…
There any chance more slots could be opened in the TestFlight? The addition of the stretch aspect ratio option and the fact that tvOS is finally going to start supporting passthrough audio means I would love to get in on the testing. I know the passthrough audio may not be supported yet, but I presume it will be at some point.
I just wish I could get the ability to press play on an item again to start playback instead of long pressing and navigating a menu or having to click into an item and then play. It slows down starting playback so much.
And still no background images ![]()
Yeah really weird how the Preview App for Roku seems to get a new build every week (even two builds this week), but the AppleTV Preview has been out since January and still does not have background images. Like how is that even possible?
If Plex wanted to do the Preview for Roku instead (how it looks like right now), then why did they decide to do the AppleTV Preview as the first TV Preview in the first place?
For some weird reason, 2025.19 was released on Jine 20th, and then it was simply removed.
There are no builds available for AppleTV anymore.
Because the lowest common denominator, Roku, is driving the UI/UX direction now. This is why tvOS specific niceties are no more. As much as Plex claims otherwise, Apple and the ‘Apple way of doing things’ is clearly looked at with disdain amongst those calling the shots, and has been for a while now. The signs are everywhere. Actions over words at this point.
Yeah, I’m seeing a “Developer removed you from the test program” error in TestFlight.
Does this mean Plex are about to push Experience to the masses? Or was there just a mistake somewhere?
