Apple TV No Audio

Hi all,

In the last 24/48 hours on my Apple TV, I’ve noticed that when I start streaming a TV show, sometimes there is no audio.

To get audio, I have to stop the playback and start it again and then the audio begins to work.

Originally I thought that this was only happening with Transcoded streams but it’s now happening with Direct Play.

This issue is I can no longer shuffle playback on tv shows as the audio won’t work.

My partner also has an Apple TV and she has said she’s experiencing the same issue.

I also have an Android TV and playback in fine on there so this makes me think it is NOT server side.

Has anyone else seen this issue with the Apple TV?

This happens to me when I rewind after watching something for more than 10mins. The audio goes away and the video plays or the opposite happens with a freezed frame and audio continuing. I’m on the latest server and ATV version as well.

Apple TV model, App version, and PMS version please?

I ask because:

AppleTV 4K, ver 2.16 (14822), PMS 1.19.1 - Not reproducable at this time.

More information (codecs involved) is needed.
