I have an annoying issue where my Apple TV 4K has issues direct play / direct stream any HEVC 4K movies. I have a seedbox and streams this content with no issues to my PC using the Windows App, has no issues streaming to my Plex app on the Smart TV I’m using (As a backup) however would like to keep using the Apple TV as primary source of streaming. I have a home based Plex set up as well for 4K as a workaround for now with no issues. The issue seems to be isolated to the Remote streaming (4k hevc) capability on Apple TV. I’m using the old player, as the new player seems to have audio sync issues which are just as annoying. I’ve attached a log file here, hoping someone can help?
I am seeing this particular line a lot around the time I’m trying to start a stream:
