Apple TV Player - DV / HDR

Hi All,

Recently got a ATV4K 3rd Gen for the bedroom, I’ve noticed I cannot get it to play any DV content? I already knew about the issues with DV but the content I am trying to play is DV Profile 5? but its still just plays HDR.

I also noticed when playing normal 1080p Content the Tech details say player: MPV but when playing 4K content is says Player: AVPlayer? which results in transcoding from MKV?

Does the Apple TV not support MKV?

Yup. It’s been a problem with Plex for a looong time. You’ll have to use Infuse for now.

Thanks for posting this, I did look but nothing I could find similar to what I was looking for clearly I should have read the 440 foum post :joy::joy:
