Are updates pushed or do we need to do something?

I just saw the announcement for a new version of the app. Just wondering if the update gets pushed to our xbox's automatically or if there is something we need to do.

It takes a while to roll out to everyone (should be today though). You will get a message asking you to upgrade when you launch and it is available. If you have your xbox in 'instant on' mode then it might update when you aren't using it - or in the background when you play Halo.

Rest assured, the app will definitely get the update during the next 24 hours. We (Microsoft) enforces app updates after a short period of time.

thanks, I was wondering about the update myself and wanting to know how long I would have to wait for it.

Stupid update anyways. I hate to act like a spoiled user but definitely disappointed with the lack of added features. The media player app is still more functional that the plex app.

i find the update great as it fixes the issue where I can now be signed in to both my xbox ones @ the same time with different xbox live accounts and both tv's can watch PLEX.. Being able to watch the trailer for a movie is a great bonus too.

Yeah features would be welcome.

But I think bug fixing should be priority 1 before adding new stuff.

The new version still chooses Stereo over AC-3 Audio per default :frowning: (m4v files)

Sorry but i couldn’t get warm with Plex for XOne…

You can do menu -> quit, when you open plex it should then update.

This worked me a few minutes ago. :)

Very disappointed with the update. We still can't view un-watched content lists.

Would also be nice if I could use my Android phone with plex and cast the content to the XBox One Plex but it doesn't appear as a Plex device.

Still switching to my Chromecast in my home theater instead of XBox One.

I just want my local extras (that I ripped from Blu rays/DVDs) to show up on XB1. :(
