Hello all,
I love the look and feel of Plex - thanks for making such a wonderful UI for media playback!
However, there is one thing which is somewhat lacking from my perspective. "By Folder" view doesn't show any Art (poster, thumbnail etc..) until you are inside the folder holding the media file in question.
I store media by type and genre. Eg.:
Movies
-->Action
---->Film01
---->Film02
-->Comedy
---->Film01
-->Drama
---->Film01
---->Film02
---->Film03
etc..
TV
-->Show01
---->Season01
---->Season02
-->Show02
---->Season01
---->Season02
---->Season03
etc..
For TV shows, it doesn't matter as much as all of my TV shows are stored in a common folder. Movies are different however as I have them categorized by genre, and due to the sheer volume of them, it is often great to be able to filter the view based on how I have defined the genre in the above file structure.
I know that library purists will say that I should just use Plex's built in filtering, but it is often much quicker for me to logically find something if I can simply browse the folder structure. It would be a much more attractive experience if the folders could display some art - even if it was manually done by placing a folder.jpg file in the folder as was done previously with XBMC and other similar projects.
Truth be told, I already do have artwork stored in the movie folders as I still make use of other players like XBMC.
Is displaying art at the "By Folder" view at all a possibility?
Thanks in advance,
