Associate Collections With Differently Named Collections

Hi there it would be nice to be able to associate collections with those that are not the same name. Example: I have a collection for the Auralnauts fan version of star wars in my youtube library and I’d like to name it’s collection as such, however in order to associate it and have it show up when looking at my main star wars collection it needs to have the same name.

It’s all well and good that we have what we have now, but it would be great for organization if we had an associations field in the collection metadata where we could associate it with different collections. I think there are many other situations where this would be beneficial.

This could even be a way to create nested collections if we are allowed to create empty collections and then associate collections with it. For example an empty Marvel Universe collection could be associated with an Iron Man collection and so on. The functionality exists just let us control it!

That seems more complicated than simply adding a show to multiple collections. Your Iron Man movies can be added to both an “Iron Man” collection and a “Marvel” collection. How would this be different?

I agree with @beckfield. This seems like a more complicated way to just add films to multiple collections which we can already do. If you are asking for nested collections which would solve the only other scenario under which I could see this mattering, there is already a feature request for that.
