Fulfilled ALL the requirements from the instructions. I reset the password, deleted all authorized devices, checked the availability of ports (32400). Plex asks me to log in, which I do, and then, after the authorization window, where I successfully log in, writes that I could not log in to Plex. And on the plex website.tv I log in successfully. The application was deleted, the application version of PlexMediaServer-1.28.2.6106-44a5bbd28-x86_64 was installed, despite this, there is a message to update the application all the time.
Did you try to log in at

Folks, I’m around if you need me.
Just ping me @Chuckpa
and I’ll come.
@Chuckpa Hi! Thanks for the reply. I followed the instructions, but there is a problem after launching UserCredentialReset, a token request is being made, I insert it into the line, press enter, the error Could not get credentials from is issued plex.tv Error0. At the same time, the port is open on Asustor, the port is in UPnP on the router, the provider claims that port 32400 is not closed

Getting new credentials from Plex.tv
ERROR: Could not get credentials from plex.tv (Error: 0)
Yes , I entered from here
Morning haha
Not getting credentials is bad.
Error code 0 was a typing error on my part. I just fixed that.
Would you download the script again and run it ?
It will give the real error code now so we can find out why your machine can’t tallk to Plex.tv
I suspect DNS or Gateway routing is the problem.
Help. Sorry to be such a rookie, but I know nothing about programing etc. All I know is I had a NAS Synology with Plex that worked perfectly until I changed my password. Logged back in and my NAS server is nowhere.
Are there any easy fixes out there for someone like me. Been using Plex for several years with no problems. I love it, but I travel and need access through my server. Any fixes that a guy like me would understand would be great.
Thanks in advance.
Are you using DSM 7?
Yes DSM 7
You have everything already built into the package (SPK) you need.
- Uninstall the package. Use the “Uninstall Only” (KEEP) option.
- Reinstall (Manual install) the same SPK again
- Click the “Install using Claim Token” radio button
- Also click “Get Plex Claim Token” blue link
- A browser tab will open with a claim token in it.
- Click COPY (it copies to your browser)
- Come back to the Installation tab
- PASTE the token in the small box on the form (where you put the token)
- Click NEXT and then DONE
- DSM will install the base package
- It will then let me go out to Plex.tv and get you new credentials.
- I then update your Preferences.xml (all the credentials)
- It will confirm success by showing “Claimed by: YourPlexUsername”
- Start PMS
- THIS ONE TIME ONLY: Open PMS by LAN IP ( http://lan.ip.of.syno:32400/web )
- Let browser and server resync with the new credentials.
- Check the server and confirm all is ok.
- Done
Thanks. I’ll try that now. I accidentally created this djlo31 and actual is @dlosito.
I did uninstall with “keep” and reinstalled with Token.
Thanks so much for your help. Really appreciate it.
Make certain you and it are on the same LAN subnet … this is important this ONE time.
Ok. I did thru step 10. It said successful djlo31 but when I opened it has the dlosito. Should I have plex open or closed?
Also, my lifetime pass is on dlosito which is why I want to keep that username.
Any other thoughts here?
Sorry to be a pain but I travel and access NAS from hotels to watch movies.
Thanks in advance.
Which account should be used ? djlo31 or dlosito ?
The forums and your Plex account share the same login.
If you are signed in here with djlo31, you’ll get a claim token for djlo31.
I recommend you sign out of the forum (this username)
Sign back in using your proper username.
Also confirm by opening https://app.plex.tv
Once you’ve confirmed the right account, Rerun the Claim procedure I posted above
Good afternoon. Thank you so much for the answer. I tried a new script, here is the result

Getting new credentials from Plex.tv
ERROR: Could not get credential from plex.tv (Error: 60)
Your custom certificate on the machine itself is getting in the way.
Error 60 is a Man-in-the-middle error. Certificates didn’t match and it’s refusing
Ok. I can delete plex on the Asustor, can the certificate be deleted? Otherwise, how can I delete the certificate on the Asustor?
