yeah it's possible and maybe the ATV3 react better with files with problem

to be honnest, I plan to upgrade to ATV3 today...tired of all this...
Maybe just one of them because my second ATV is on a 720p
now my question. If I buy a ATV3 and start encoding my movies in 1080p, will it still play well on my ATV2 ?
Should I set the bitrate in plexconnect to a lower value ? Right now both of them are set to 40 Mbps but none of my 720p movies exceed 15 Mbps so it doesn't seem to be a problem. If I have a higher bitrate for 1080p movies, will ATV2 still be able to play them ?
Do you know what is the maximum bitrate ATV2 and 3 can play ? Not official Apple specs but from experience.
If I started an mp4 file on ATV2 that can direct play but bitrate is too high will PMS transcode it automatically for ATV2 or I will just shutter ?

I'm going to Apple store right now, enough of this ! Even if it's probably the file, I bought a new tv and I would like to have 1080p support...
And sell your ATV 2 for 200.00 bucks

so, been playing with my ATV3 for an hour or so. As expected, the movie doesn't crash anymore. I tried a 3d imax movie and it runs way smoother without buffering !
