Audio constantly off

I have had very mixed results with Plex and I’ve been using it for 6+ years. I am CONSTANTLY having to deal with the lips off / audio off. I redownload the file, try another version, same results. It is NOT the file.
I am streaming to a Roku connected to my TV. This is annoying.
I have tried disabling direct stream, direct play, and all other options. It’s making me give up on a Plex completely.

Any advice would be great, I have a 2013 iMac i5, 16GB Ram. 8TB external Seagate drive for movies.

Has it been the same setup for 6 years or do you have the same problem on multiple devices?

Been fighting the same item for a few months. Video stutters briefly and after that sync is off. Jumping forward or back resolves it until it happens again. Wide variety of media. On 1.30.2.6563.
