Yes, the problem seems to stem from the TVos15 beta.
It is affecting AC3 and EAC3.

Yeah, then they’ll be addressed prior to the public release, but I don’t have any ETA prior to that I can share.

Chiming in because this bug is also hitting me. I have an older receiver and 5.1 audio was working fine but stopped working in the last month. It is still fine for menu sounds but get no audio with some direct play that used to work fine. I notice it mostly when playing back DVR recordings (i.e., Colbert Late Show). I have to use the trick described above (“Convert Automatically”) to force a transcode to get audio back. I’m at tvOS 15.0 and Plex Beta 7.21 (533).
