Audio Playback of Audio Books is Skipping tracks after about 3 minutes onto next text

Hello.

I’ve sent a few posts in marked Audio Playback: Jumping

I’m attempting to listen to a Locally Synced Audiobook on my iPhone. (in the car)

after about 3 minutes-ish, it skips to next track and continues are the same time index. which means I lose lots of the story

today at 7:40 whilst testing this.

I’m listening to Beatrix Rose Track 11, playback is fine, until about 3 minutes then it jumps to Track 12, 3 minutes into that track.

I’ve submitted logs via the Build Buddy but Here are full logs from my device via my email. taken about 30 minutes later, (when I’d stopped driving)

I’m in the latest plex beta 14611. IOS11.4.1.

The same book has had the same issue for the last three releases.

Can address why audio playback is jumping during playback.

Hi @systemshark, I tried to replicate your issue with some of my audiobooks and could not. Is it always the same track in the same book that this occurs with? If so would you mind sharing a sample file? You can message me directly if needed.

I’ve tried the same book and it jumps on several chapters so it could be the encoding of the book. I will arrange to get the book over to you. I’m travelling at the moment so it’s going to take a couple of days.

I’ve sent you some example files, I can confirm that this audio book skips on the beta releases, I’ve tried it on builds 14670, 14662, 14630.

I can also confirm it’s happening with other books, my son is reporting his Harry Potter Audio Books are also jumping.

I’ve tried the same files in iTunes and they play correctly. and I’ve tried the files in AirPlayer on IOS so it’s IOS Plex Client.

Can you have a look please.
