Hi hoping someone can help me here… total novice… I want to be able to store movies with lossless audio (like true HD) on my mac and view stream them to my TV. But when I do this I cannot seem to get lossless audio.
I have an LG SM8600 with ARC. When I view the movies in the app on my tv it says 7.1 True HD so that seems to be ok, but when I play them my receiver, which supports TrueHD, converts them to Dolby Digital?
I assume its an issue with ARC?
Is there a cheap way around this, i.e. an amazon stick etc so that I can get 4k plus lossless audio?
