The stick is plugged into the TV. It comes with a short HDMI pigtail about 6 inches long so you can mount the device conveniently so I have it attached to the back of the TV a few inches from the HDMI port. It can be plugged directly into the HDMI port as well if you have clearance. I didn’t so I used the pigtail. It’s actually been a great setup other than this issue.
The interference from the TV might be part of the problem. I know it plays havoc with Roku sticks being that close, and even a 6" extension doesn’t do much to get away from the TV. I use a 2 ft extension HDMI cable to keep them clear - maybe give that a shot.
But definitely play a movie on the other desktop so you can see if you still have audio drift.
If it was an interference thing why wouldn’t this happen With SD videos as well as HD?
Bizarre. I have had issues with most HD videos for a while. Since the latest version of PMS I am getting this problem with SD videos.
Pause and restart fixes it for a while but within several minutes it is noticeable again.
I am ripping movies with the same version of Handbrake since last year.
I’m at a loss…
