Audio transcode on LG G2 and Sonos ARC is stereo only

Server Version#: 1.42.1.10060
Player Version#: 5.93.2

Hi Everyone,
I am using a LG G2 connected via eARC to a SONOS Arc which is working fine. Supported formats are directplaying, e.g. eAC3 with Atmos is working great.

What I cannot get to work is transcoded multichannel audio (e.g. DTS / TrueHD). The transcoder chooses 5.1 AAC, but it is only played back as stereo (showing “Stereo PCM” in the SONOS App, also confirmed with surround test file). I first thought was that SONOS might not support multichannel AAC, but if I transcode e.g. DTS-HD → AAC 7.1 first using Tdarr, it playbacks fine in Plex using directplay and all channel information are there (showing “Dolby Multichannel PCM” in the app).

I looked at the log, and that also seems fine, choosing AAC with 6 channels (see below).
Does anyone know why this is happening. Somehow directplay of multichannel AAC works, but transcode of multichannel AAC ends up in stereo.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Please let me know if I should post the whole log file (I was not sure which files would be needed)
