This has been happening for years. I’ve finally figured out what is throwing the transcoder off when rebuilding the show from the tiny 3 second files.

It’s occurs after Spectrum overlays their own local commercials over the networks commercials. It throws off the timing and the transcoder can’t recover.

Are you using the commercial skip feature?

I have seen what you are reporting mainly after commercial skip and in some instances I was able to stop the show and resume and it cleared up the issue.

Otherwise I turned off commercial skip and just fast forward through the commercials to avoid issues.

I am not using the commercial skip feature. Stopping and starting the recording doesn’t solve the issue.
