Yes, I have been wait for audio resume to listen to my audiobooks for so long. Best news I have heard in a while!!!
Itās being actively worked on, but will take a while to get it into all the clients⦠
My vote is for mobile clients first.
Elan, you are a God among men. We appreciate you completing this request. It will finally make this platform good for us lifetime members who value the auditory experience above all else.

Any word if audiobook support will also include play speed? I know a lot of people like myself listen at 1.2x - 1.5x speed to get through some books faster.
I donāt know man, I would rather them not work on functionality such as this. You can even still use Plex. You just have to transcode your media before you listen to it. I believe that is actually fair and elegant. Should be rather easy, you would not have to transcode everything, just the stuff you are actively reading.
Any chance you can support accelerated playback with pitch correction? I listen to all audiobooks at 2X and podcasts at 1.7X.
I canāt wait for this! I wonder if itās on the same timeframe as the PHT update (end of this month)?
Great to know this is being worked on. I have a lot of old audiobooks and even some old podcast episodes (that are no longer in their respective feeds) that I would love to add to my plex library to listen on my phone. Canāt wait!

Me likey!
Awesome! I was just digging for a workaround to this resume problem. Iāll just be patient
Anticipating this feature!
I take it, there is no update on this?

Getting towards 3 months since work began which is longer than I hoped it would take. From the outside you would assume this feature was not a major addition as resuming is a well understood aspect within Plex, however I guess like so many things it is a more complex than it would first appear.
May be in time for Christmas?
Fingers crossed this is still being worked on.

Just audio resume for things like audiobooks
So any rough timescales? This year? Next? ![]()
@elan any update on this so much anticipated feature?
Cannot wait for this feature.
M4B Audiobook support would enable me to ditch iTunes forever. Plex has my Movies, TV shows, Music and Home Videos covered, but Audiobooks and Courses (Audio & Video) need bookmark support to make this a one stop shop.
i really hope support for audiobooks will be available in the near future. since music-handling was updated this is really the last thing i need iTunes for⦠@team it doesnāt need to be fancy. a list with play, stop and resume feature is all i need
