Audio book resume support as a media type pleeeeeease. My wife is killing me for this feature.

Splitting the votes just makes it less likely to get to the top of any lists.
i guess my question is what is needed for thew audio books?? i mean a metadata agent i guess but couldn't that be user created and just used in 'music' library?

That's really all this needs to implemented. It would surely take only a few dev hours to add this feature. I'm really, really keen to see this implemented - just the remembering of play positions, that's it.

Is it? I'm not sure I agree. The thread you linked to is a significantly more broad implementation than what I am referring too here. Audiobooks, in my opinion, are fundamentally different and separate from book books.
I'll say though, one neat idea from that other thread is to link the ebook (if you have it) to the audiobook under one umbrella. That would sure be neat. Especially with the 'sync' options.

It is getting pointless people voting for stuff they like, no one bothers to search, creates their own duplicate threads, and splits all the voting.
+1 I thought the playlist option might include remembering the audiobook position until I was yet disappointed again.
