Do you have Chapter Thumbnails enabled? (they are enabled by default).
I disable them and purge the the BIF files (which are massive compared to a jpeg)
Counting mine:
[/share/CACHEDEV4_DATA/.qpkg/PlexMediaServer] # cd Library
[/share/CACHEDEV4_DATA/.qpkg/PlexMediaServer/Library] # du -ms .

That’s 13.7 GB of total metadata for 102,227 indexed files.
We did learn of a problem for AT&T customers whose WAN address is in the 172.x.x.x range. It appears AT&T, in their efforts to thwart IP address spoofing, made an error in subnet masking.
Our and customer tests seem to indicate the subnet mask 172.0.0.0/8 was applies where 172.168.0.0/12 was the correct mask.
We learned AT&T corrected this about an hour ago and communication with Plex.tv has been restored. Please restart and see if the auth problems still exist.
