Server Version#: 1.41.6.9685 arm64
Player Version#: Android 10.26.0 + server web ui
<If providing server logs please do NOT turn on verbose logging, only debug logging should be enabled>
I’ve been running PMS 1.41.6.9685-d301f511a on debian linux and Android app 10.26.0 because too much broke to make it usable after the newer update a month or so back.
Everything was running fine until this morning when the android app, and web client suddenly stopped seeing my library. I’ve tried logging out of everything, revoking authorised app access, uninstalling clearing data and caches, reinstalling, clearing browser data, reinstalling the plex media server and android app, and upgrading everything to the latest versions (PMS 1.41.7.9823; Android 2025.16.0) but I can’t seem to get plex to recognise my library/server.
On the web client it will display “+ Your media” in the menu bar, and when I select it it prompts me to “Get Plex Media Server” which is obviously installed as that’s where I’m running the web client from.
I have a plex pass but that shouldn’t make a difference.
Nothing has changed on my system. No other system updates or network changes have occurred.
Any idea how I resolved this?
You appear to have removed your server from your account, together with a lot of other devices. (Most likely on this page: https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/settings/devices/all )
You need to “claim” your server again. https://support.plex.tv/articles/204281528-why-am-i-locked-out-of-server-settings-and-how-do-i-get-in/
Yes, this was one of the things I tried to get it to work again.
I’ve followed the instructions at this link but when I select “Claim server” nothing happens. The button activates, but nothing changes. I have tried both firefox and chromium and I am using the local web interface. Log out and back in didn’t help either.
Is your server running in a virtual machine or container?
Do both your web browser and the server machine have full, unfiltered internet access?
Is the server running in your local network, or is it remote?
No virtual server or container.
Yes
local network
If you use the DNS server of your ISP, it could be filtered without you knowing about it.
Set the DNS server in your router settings to either 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8
The reboot the router and all involved devices, so they use the new DNS server.
You could also try to use GitHub - ChuckPa/UserCredentialReset: User Credential Reset utility for Plex
All DNS changed to suggested, and devices restarted. Same problem - “Claim Server” button activates but does nothing.
Interestingly and probably unrelated just under that it says there is a new server version available, but I have the latest already.
Try the script I linked in my previous response.
PMS 1.41.7.9823
is not the latest, depending on whether you are on the “stable” or the “beta” branch.
https://forums.plex.tv/t/plex-media-server/30447/last
If I follow the “please install manually” link, it only shows the version I have even if I have beta program selected.
I see now download link at this URL
It’s under “Releases” on the right side.
PMS 1.41.8.9834 installed. Restarted. Same issue - “claim server” button does nothing.
Also it still says there is an update available:
Version 1.41.8.9834 An update is available. Please install manually.
I didn’t say that a new server version would mitigate your issue.
Try the claim script.
Ok, I got confused and missed the comment about the script. I’ll try it now.
Stopped the PMS
Ran the script - seems to have completed correctly
Stopping PMS
Clearing Preferences.xml
Getting new credentials from Plex.tv
Claim completed without errors.

Starting PMS
Complete.
Re-open the local web interface and check configuration. My server and library no longer appear anywhere.
Log out and back in the web interface.
Same deal.
Back to where I was before manually editing the Preferences.xml file.
Please stop further attempts for now. I can see your server is now connected to your account, but it doesn’t appear as a proper server.
I will have to ask the team about it.
Sure, thanks. I won’t do anything further until you get back to me.
Hey @OttoKerner, how are we going with this issue?
Same concerns here, I am well connected, I have not touched anything, I no longer have access to the server parameter and I do not see my libraries…

Anyone else with this problem? I tried to put another version but I have the same… I don’t have access to the log since I haven’t seen on my server’s parameters… thank you…
