C’mon…let’s get this done please!
I currently spend way too much time adding the auto delete after admin watches one week after. I hope there’s a way you I can prioritize this.
I do agree with the OP that it would be useful if we could edit the Advanced Settings in bulk. To be clear, I define bulk as selecting multiple items and opening the edit panel. Currently, only the General (Name-Sort-Year), Tags, and Sharing tabs are available for bulk edit.
Please allow Advanced Settings to be accessed when editing in bulk. Please do not add this as a Library level setting.

+1 for this too … I frequently spend a lot of time going into each show’s advanced settings to flag for ‘delete after 1 day’. I have about 4 shows I’d consider keeping forever. The ability to choose a default here would be absolute gold.

Still not implemented. Sad. I really could use this option.
I would prefer to enable / disable ‘Allow media deletion’ for a specific library rather than the entire server. Some of the content is temporary and it’s more convenient to delete it after watching rather than chasing it down at the file level on the server itself, AND I don’t want to risk having content deleted from other libraries.
Seconded. I’ve always had it disabled because I don’t want random movies/TV series deleted. But, now that I’ve added a DVR, I had to turn it on for everything just to be able to delete shows that don’t need saving.

A DVR library is the best example of this feature use.
+1 Don’t want users deleting my ripped content. Only want to delete shows in the “DVR” recordings.
I’m really surprised that this has not had more votes. I can only assume either people have taught their family well about NOT deleting films on the DVR, or not many people are using the DVR with families.
I found this through google searching as I assumed it must already be the way things are done, it seems so logical to have a setting as important as deletion being a library setting and not a server one.
Hope this gets addressed, but with such low votes I’m guessing this will never happen.
A similar feature suggestion exist and has more votes.

I think this deserves some serious attention. The ability to delete content from the DVR library is a terrific idea but it leaves the other libraries vulnerable to accidental deletion. I currently have the “Allow media deletion” enabled but I am not very comfortable with the idea of my movie library being vulnerable with this enabled… Please give some consideration to allow for better control of each library so users can rest knowing that our movies and other libraries are safe.
Still waiting for a response from support. The response from SE56 has no bearing on this subject.
