While watching series, and I have set my setings set to NOT auto-play,
However the Android client it just keeps going one episode after the other.
This is true on my SG24+ as well as an android tablet, and includes chromecast.
Sometimes on the tablet, when put to sleep, the episode just plays in the background.
This is not cool as when traveling, it uses cellular, and I’ve hit my limit several times.
This all started with the ‘NEW’ and ‘IMPROVED’ client (which I dislike).
I’ve tried toggling it, I’ve tried logging out and back in, I’ve upgraded client and server.
I’ve reset cache, and even uninstalled and reinstalled. Is anyone else experiencing this problem ?
Have the same issue, and also have movies looping the only way I have found to stop this is to go into play settings while video is running and select stop after this item. But this can be hard as I can only seem to get to that option if my device is in portrait view, landscape seems to hide this. We do have to remember that remote play is a paid service so extra care is now expected with releases, everything is working as advertised.
Both my Samsung phones, and 3 tablet all have the same ‘keeps playing’ regardless of AutoPlay settings. It even happens if I’m chrome-casting to the TV, just keeps playing.
Some people might not think this is a big deal, but I’ve had cellular charges because the wife falls asleep with it on expecting it to stop after 1 episode, not wake up in the AM with it still playing. Sometimes with the screen blank.

I really disagree with the decision to release this new Plex Client when obviously it’s not been tested very well, there were still tons of outstanding issues even when released.
I have been running PLEX in various forms since 2008 just after it came out…
As a Software Engineer of 40+ years I am very disappointed and disenchanted.
There are alternatives to Plex, and I’ve just started building one.
I would say to the PLEX Client development Team that you have very little time left to recover from this debacle.
I would say Management FAILED to understand that I SIGNED UP for being able to share my media with my friends for free… Now they have to buy a monthly subscription …
Just another bait and switch campaign. So sad…

No, mostly I’m watching series and expect it to stop after 1 episode.
Some times when you try to hit the sleep button, the audio continues..Blank/dark screen
I’ve tried logging out, resetting cache, reboots of various orders.
So far nothings helped, oh, but reset of cache on my old tablet has now lost Library access. Sigh…
I was able to reproduce this. Check your player experience setting. It’s your auto play countdown set to immediate. This appears to override the auto play setting. Change it to any value and the audio play should stop.
Have to say that the latest release seems to have corrected this issue for me. Movies now stop at the end and nothing autoplays honoring the config in the settings menu.
Hope this is teh same for others.
If we are going to complain we also have to shout out when things get fixed as well.
