I Agree, especially with the new DVR (Beta) it would be super nice if the system could recognize the new .TS file and sometime when the processer is open make an optimized version, it would help cut down the Hard drives filling up, and make use of a much better compression algorithm. An alternative would to automatically apply a tag to any DVR’d content that I could then call using the optimization process.

for me, the ability to schedule optimization for CPU downtime would be a bonus.
I would LOVE this! Automatic optimizing of my Live TV recordings (with automatic deletion of the original file) along with scheduling that to be done overnight would be AWESOME!!!
Yes I would like to be able to schedule (say from midnight to 9 am) DVR recording optimization with deletion of original file.
