Apps like Instapaper http://blog.instapaper.com/post/24293729146 and Dropbox use geofencing to trigger Sync when the user reaches certain locations. As a user you would setup a list of locations, then when the mobile devices enters that area Plex app will automatically start to Sync.
Think it's something that could be implemented?
I second that!! Dropbox allows iOS devices in particular to trigger a background sync whenever location changes. Essentially pushing any photo uploads without needing to interact or worry about it. Please make this an option! Plexsync is awesome but nothing’s worse than realizing you forgot to press sync from your wifi before a trip!

+1 or at least make it start syncing automatically if the phone connects to a specified wifi network so it only syncs on home wifi not just any wifi

This is an old idea, but one which I think is still great. Could be a great feature now that the new server supports transcoding videos ahead of times.
