Feature Request : Turn Off Sync when Traveling

Morning,
Is it possible to be able to control when IOS Plex Client executes a Sync. Agreed when I’m at home I want to Sync autoamatically etc.
But When I’m Travelling I don’t want Sync to operate, I could put the Ipad into Airplane mode but Then I cann’t use the Ipad for other things like email etc.
This week I have TV shows which I was watching, I fell sleep to and the Auto Play, ran through the 10 espisodes in 1 night and promptly updated the sync to watched and deleted them… which meant I’m away with nothing to watch.

Therefore I’d like to have Plex Client playing it’s synced content but I also don’t want it sync so I’d like to ‘Pause’ the syncing so I can manually control when Sync is executed.

Disabling Sync of Cellular Data doesn’t meet the requirements either, since being connected via Wifi also allows Internet access, whcih means the laptop is able to talk back to my PMS at home.
Ipad -> Hotel Wifi -> Internet -> DSL@home -> PMS.
So what I’m looking for another option which astop Sync when Travelling.
Airplane Mode is no good either since Plex is now so clever is sync in the background and updated and dleted things faster than downloading my email.

I think another way of looking at this is an option for “Sync only when on Local Network”. ie do a full sync, deleting old episodes and downloading new ones etc, when on Wifi local to that particular server. So if you’re on a remote network, no syncs happen. Some people might be syncing from two or more servers in different locations and this would cater for that scenario. Plex is already pretty good at identifying if your server is currently local or remote.

This of course would also be handy if you’ve synced a load of content (eg 10 unwatched) before a holiday and you don’t want to use up your precious roaming or holiday data allowance on unnecessary syncs later on.
