AV1 doesn't direct play in new android Plex app

I’m using a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra that supports hardware decoding for the AV1 codec. After many years Plex finally added the ability to playback AV1 on the Android app, and could eve direct play, but for some reason the new app doesn’t have that functionality. It now fallsback to transcoding.

Basicly I can’t play AV1 on my Galaxy Z Fold 4 since the update rolled out.
I also can’t sync AV1 videos using the Downloads, it forces them to transcode.

After updating to the latest Plex Media Server AV1 playback on my Fire TV Max has stopped working AGAIN and it forces transcode to HEVC. This is becoming a real pain. If it werent for Kodi and PM4K I would have switch to Jellyfin months ago. I love plex but my whole library is encoded in AV1 so this is a deal breaker, and I have a lifetime subscription.
