Hi,
I have a ton of media stored on a external that I use with Plex. These movies I created custom ‘movie’ posters, or thumbnails. I plan to move these movies to a other drive (Worried my external might fail) and I was wondering if I can back up all the posters/thumbnails?
I really don’t want to have to do it all over again.
Thanks
Thanks. Am I understanding that I could have the movie poster stored local, with the same name as movie, and PLex would use that as the poster? Hence, I could have a folder for posters for the movies?
Man, so much to learn…
Wow. I just tried it, took a jpg, and named it the same as the movie, and blam, it used that as a poster. Well, that’s good news, but, alas, I have a project ahead of me now.
Hi,
Well, it worked for a new folder. But, my old stuff doesn’t seem to want to take the jpg as the poster. Also, since I started placing stuff into folders, and it’s now seeing them as movies from the net, and using thumbnail/poster for the poster. And not the jpg that I place into the folder.
Thanks again, I realized that you can just have poster.jpg in the folder, and it appears to work. And I found a small little program called File2folder, which made making folders for the files much much easier. Now, to make the posters again, but, that’s my winter project… Tedious that it is.
