I backup my NAS where my media collection is stored to Amazon Cloud.

Although I have the original media on DVD or Blu ray, I have had issues with the older discs so yes, backup of the media is a good idea.

Always a good idea to backup your collection to a remote server. Your own onsite server could possibly be lost to hard drive failure, theft, flood, etc. It can be time consuming to initially backup your media, but well worth it.

Amazon Cloud Drive is also the best deal there is right now, at £55 annually for unlimited storage. I backed up over 10TB - took about a month - but now it’s a daily update of about 3-4 hours max to get new recordings up there. A good idea for all the reasons already stated.
