There’s already a feature suggestion focusing on a server rollback option – though that hasn’t gotten much attention over the years.
As for the remaining “backup” capability. What exactly would you like to backup?
- You can already create database backups as a scheduled task.
- There’s a feature suggestion to backup/import metadata → Built in Backup/Export/Import of Metadata between platforms also
- There’s a feature suggestion to create backups of the posters/artwork/local media assets → Backup posters and artwork
- The option to backup/restore data/configuration information has also been discussed in the feature suggestion about better transfer/migration support → Make transferring server to new machine simple and easy
