[Feature Request] Server rollback, and server user ratings.

After a few awful server releases with PMS 1.x, I think its safe to say an easier rollback approach from within PMS would be desirable. Possibly with the ability for users to rate each iteration so that one easily can roll back to the best possible version.

After struggling with both Plex Pass and regular versions of the latest but not so greatest versions of PMS i finally caved and rolled back to 0.9.16.6, but in order to do so, I manually had to uninstall the server and download an older version off a 3rd party site. Luckily my server is on Windows, but I can only imagine what a hassle, If at all possible, a NAS user would experience.

Please make the whole process easier. I know you mean well with these updates, but every now and then you will ultimately release a POS version and people have come to love and rely on this software and shouldn’t be stuck with this bag of hurt. Enabling easier rollback will make people less reluctant to update next time.

I think now is just a fluke, as they nuked support for any 0.x releases. My guess is as time goes on, they’ll have downloads/support for 1.x releases more readily available…but that’s speculation on my part.

As for an actual rollback feature…that seems like a feature that would be useful even if you hope to never use it

I absolutely like the idea of “user ratings” of releases. I’d split that off into a separate feature request so it can be “Like’d” separately, as I feel that’d be way easier to implement (as it’s a website feature and doesn’t even involve the dev team)
