Backup custom metadata

If I created custom metadata for each movie and TV show - it is possible to make full backup of this data? With posters and all other stuff?

Because I will create temporary media server on my computer first before huge transfer with multiple hard drives.

Why I need this? Because Plex will never add slovenian language to get data from TMDB. And not all users at home speak english.

Don’t want to loose hours of editing metadata.

It will only ever work fully, if you move to a machine which runs under the same operating system.
In general, there is this: https://support.plex.tv/articles/201539237-backing-up-plex-media-server-data/

If this is specifially about Windows, take a look at PSA: Script to back up and restore Plex app data on a Windows system

The server must be shut down during the backup, or you will be copying damaged database files.

What you need to keep in mind about a full server backup:
Even with the saved data, you will only have a chance to a full restore if your new server installation has everything just like the old server.
That mainly applies to the type of operating system,
but also the storage location of each media file.
These must be kept the same between the old and the new server, or even restoring that large backup will not be able to preserve some of the data.
You are well advised to keep a list of the plex library root level folders and their storage adresses (i.e. drive letter plus folder name, or the address of the file server/NAS unit where they are stored)
(screenshots of each library’s “Add Folders” tab should do fine)

Maybe it will be easier to wait … Not sure if new server will have all the same

It’s in your power to make it so. Drive letters on Windows can be assigned pretty much freely. How to assign permanent letters to drives on Windows 10 | Windows Central

On Linux, the mount points of your media folders can be customized as well.

But not sure if I will get Synology or not. Then it is not possible from Windows to Synology?

I found another solution until Plex add my language.

If you only have movies and tv shows, which are matched with the new metadata agents, then it will be possible with minimal loss.
Particularly if you already use the “watched” status sync https://support.plex.tv/articles/sync-watch-state-and-ratings/

If you have a lot of unmatched content with a lot of manual metadata added or edited, then these edits can be lost due to the changing storage address.

What about .nfo files? Can Plex read description, tittle, poster?

It cannot, yet.
