Best cancelled TV Shows

For those that haven't seen Drive.... it's another FOX series by Tim Minear (co-producer of Firefly) with Nathan Fillion as a lead. It was cut after 6 episodes right as character development was being established. Only 4 episodes ever aired. So dissapointing. It was a FOX marketing / air time failure.

Just finished watching the first three seasons of Deadwood. Waiting for the ...  huh? what? You've got to be shitting me!!!!

You can also use the DVD order plugin and choose it for the Firefly series which will sort and play them in the correct order.

@tehgeek you have the last 4 episodes out of order in your post. Unless that is the "numbered order" you mean? I'm not really sure what the numbered order is.

The order in my screen shot is the DVD order which is the order Joss intended it to be viewed.

Yeah the wiki contains the DVD order. The part I posted in my last post was from here -- http://scifi.stackexchange.com/questions/638/what-was-the-original-intended-order-of-the-episodes-of-firefly

Clerks animated series. It suffered from the same bull as firefly. They aired the 2nd episode first which relied heavily on the first episode for a lot of the jokes.

Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip - pay close attention to Judd Hirsh's monologue in the first episode.

Very intense and exciting monologue...

Damn right :o

There was promise of a full length movie to tie it all up... But that was a while ago and since then they ripped the set apart so it's never gonna happen.

As Woo would say.. "C**ksuckers"

So I've watched a couple of Firefly and Studio 60 episodes...

Studio 60 is really, really awesome. I love it.

Firefly I didn't like as much though... Maybe it's because I'm not a fan of Joss Whedon's style, writing and direction in general, or maybe because I find the acting cheesy and the special effects amateurish. I know a lot of you like this show and that didn't make me popular here, but ultimately, there is no right or wrong taste.

Thats a good one. I don't want to go too off topic but have you seen the Serenity (2005) movie ?

I think there should be a thread about TV shows to check out. Open everyone's horizon to what they can possibly be missing out on.

No, but I have checked out the trailer... looks interesting.

I think there already is: https://forums.plex.tv/topic/99046-top-5-tv-shows/

Definitely a good SciFi movie. I saw before I new about firefly and it ended up giving me an appreciation for what the series was trying to do.

Plot twist: man falling out the window is the boss.

Deadwood is a major one. It was so great but only lasted 3 seasons. They were going to make a movie out of it, or maybe it was a mini-series, to tie it off, but it never happened.

Another cancellation that people lament is Jericho, which I've never got into because I don't want to fall in love with something that I know is going to end abruptly.

I wish that the recent Low Winter Sun had endured, just because I like Mark Strong's acting. But it got cancelled after the 1st season.

I also wish The Killing hadn't been cancelled. Because when they later brought it back for one last season, I thought it sucked in comparison. Plus I think 4 seasons is too short. Breaking Bad got it right with 5 seasons. Not too short to leave you wanting more, not too long to lose your attention with overdrawn plots.

Flashforward for me, so catching and addicting to watch.
