Quick question, can anyone suggest the simplest method to understand who deleted something (a show or movie) and when?
I can see in “Plex Media Server.log” (see extract below), just hoping I’m missing something a little more user friendly and obvious.

(I’m asking, because a few Episodes of shows have been deleted recently, and I can’t figure out who did it)

Have you thought of disallowing Deletion and allow when you want to action. Found in Library settings.

Unless users are in your Plex Home, they shouldn’t be able to delete media even with the option enabled. If they’re in your Plex Home, they effectively have the same permissions as admin last I checked.

Not true. Managed users or shared users have no permissions to do anything, except playback and creating their own playlists.
If you however have added your whole local network to “List of IP addresses and networks that are allowed without auth”, then yes, anyone in your local network has the same privileges as you. Because this setting grants them carte blanche.
I was going based off an issue I had years ago where someone from Plex stated as such. I’m happy to be wrong.

I’ve done some further testing on who gets what delete permissions, it appears only the home admin does.
Users that are part of your home don’t have delete as an option
Users that are external and you invite also don’t get delete as an option.
I don’t have a pin on any home profiles including admin, nor do I plan to set one up currently.
Just wanting to figure out how this media vanished. But will find a way, nothing in logs. When I search for delete.
Thanks for the help, I’ve learnt more about Plex home and external invitations that is valuable regardless.
