Is there a beta testing version of the Amazon Fire TV app?
It looks like the beta is distributed via Google Play, which makes me believe there isn’t one. If that’s the case, how about you start distributing beta APKs for the Amazon TV so we can test it before you submit a new version?
Given how long it takes to get things approved by Amazon, a beta testing program for the Fire TV makes a lot of sense, probably even more than other platforms.

I’d like to know that as well. I’ve been using the Google Play apk links in the main release thread in the past because that was the only direct download link. I’ve never had an issue with it so I’m curious why the Amazon apks would be different (at least the file sizes are slightly different).
The APK for Amazon Devices include an Amazon modified ExoPlayer, the changes are mostly for passthrough and some of the Amazon hardware decoders. The Amazon AppStore APK is for users that use the Amazon AppStore on a non-Amazon device.
