Just a quick update/follow up for the new versions of Plexamp
- Testflight builds for iPad and iPhone worked fine over the top of the existing older releases, picked up server settings, downloads etc all fine, nothing needed to be altered
- Windows build installed fine but did not remove the older version. I had to do this manually. When starting Plexamp the whole thing had been reset, I had to sign it back in to Plex, choose which server and library to use (which didn’t show all of them) and all the settings had been lost, I don’t know whether it kept the downloads because I didn’t have anything downloaded (It runs on the same machine as PMS, so no point!).
- Mac build installed fine - I assume over the older version as it prompted for overwriting. Like the Windows build it needed to be signed in again, lost all the settings etc, and all the downloads (though they were still there on the mac). I notice also that the download location has changed on the filesystem here, so people might need to know re-downloading the files needs to remove the old ones manually to reclaim the space (I’m not on the machine at the moment, so can’t post exact details).
This was with the downloaded version from the 4.50.3 post but I notice we’re now up to I think 4.50.6. Where can these be downloaded from as I can’t find a thread and the main Plexamp page on the website still shows the older versions?
I don’t need anything resolving here but it would be nice for this not to happen for others…
