HI all,

 

Here is my beta of an crawler for the MediaPortal TV server recordings folders.

This way the metadata XML files are used to enrich Plex with info about the recordings.

It supports mostly series recordings, A movie will also show as a series but with one episode.

The episodes should be recorded in a single depth folder structure. For example:

 

{section folder}/Series name - Channel/episode.ts

 

Add a new section pointing to your recording folder with this crawler as primairy crawler. And it should work.

You can add media pictures in the folders to use as poster for example.

 

I tried to connect to the local media crawler to enrich the data and stuff.

 

Known issue:

I wanted it to be able to be used within the other crawler setups, so it shows there also but they seem to crash my code.

 

Have fun, and all bug fixes will be accepted ;) it works for me so I propably will not spend more time on it.

thank you for developing this new agent !!!

A question: This agent only scans TV series. Would it be possible to extend this agent that it can scan recorded films?
