Plex Music is great - until we get to handling of compilations. Case in point.: my music is organised into multiple compilations, all tagged as “Album Artist: Various Artists”, “Contributing Artist: artistname”. There are a number of issues with actually using these though:
- none of the PLEX clients has an artist view which lets me look at all contributing artists
- plex home theater won’t even show me the name of the contributing artists when a track is playing
- plex web (and i assume others) has no way to search by contributing artist
It would be great if you guys could at minimum create a contributing artist filter, even better if you could look at the treatment of this field throughout the product and update accordingly.
