i know about naming files properly and all that… what im curious about is the sub-folders… a folder of a show (ex: izombie) with sub-folders (season 1, season 2, etc) loads and displays perfectly… but heres my issue… in my tv shows folder, i have a few shows that are grouped for better organizing purposes… example: my ‘star trek’ folder has sub-folders for ‘Star Trek The Original Series’, ‘Star Trek The Next Generation’, ‘Star Trek Deep Space Nine’, etc. within those folders are the sub-folders (season 1, 2, etc)… when i open the star trek folder with plex, it shows 3 seasons of TOS, 2 seasons of next gen and thats all (and the 2 seasons of next gen are not right, se01 shows eps 101, 202, 303, 404, 105, 506, 207, etc etc)… i dont really want to have to rebuild my entire folder construction as it took me years to organize it how i like it (and how works best for all my servers except plex)…
any chance of working on this? or am i missing a setting somewhere? (ive checked them all)… im liking plex so far, this is my only real complaint… (i already completely rebuilt the wifes media folder so she could watch things, hers was a folder called “wife”, in that folders for "cooking’, ‘hauntings’ and ‘everything else’ (reality shows, game shows etc)… in those folders are folders for each show containing season folders for said shows… they showed as a series called “wife” with a few folders labelled ‘season 1, 2 etc’, but each folder was random eps from each show, shuffled together as if seasons… i had to build new libraries for each main sub to get them working… i feel i shouldnt have had to)… help?
note: i did move the various star trek shows into the tv root folder so theyll display, but i would really like to be able to put them back someday
