I think that there are two issues at the core:

Plex is unwilling to devote resources to fix their database for music, which was never setup correctly and kind of a hack just to say plex has music for a MVP to pitch to investors.

Plex is living in the past - I think that Plex doesn’t understand how there is a new business model for artists that completely bypass labels: youtube collabs. These bands correctly give credit to those who assisted. Hell, below is a screenshot from Spotify where a little Phoenix band (Halocene) got huge and is now touring in Europe.
I can click any of the artists in the track and it takes me to their page. It blows my mind that Plex completely ignores this feature. Especially how plexamp headless is finally getting some love (still a long way to go - unusable if one doesn’t have a pi4).
