If you are using a player on tv with a remote that doesn’t have number pad, the pin code is almost worse than useless, as everyone sees your pin as you enter it (and chances are, it’s the same pin as elsewhere). Seems like a nice alternative would be to link the switch to a mobile/and or web app, so that you can approve user switch on the app (assuming you are authenticated there) If fully integrated, it could do a push notification, but if not, just opening app and seeing a list of current attempts at login with ‘approve’ button would work too…
Which big screen app? On a TV or box?
For Roku, the Roku remote app on a phone or tablet allows numbers to be typed discreetly.
I think the Shield has something similar.
I don’t think the Apple TV app allows keyboard entry.
