Bluetooth switching

I’ve just upgraded to a R Pi3 and Rasplex 1.6.2. Great news is that the built in Bluetooth pairs with my headphones perfectly and the sound is really good (much better than I achieved previously using a Bluetooth transmitter in the headphone jack).

Anyway, what I wondered is if there is any way to get the Pi to switch its audio output settings automatically from HDMI to Bluetooth when I switch my headphones on.

The automatic switching takes place automatically with my Apple TV 4, but in all other regards (apart from the remote) Rasplex is much better than the ATV (the ATV really struggles with interlaced files).

Anyway, if I can’t achieve the switching automatically, is it possible to assign a script to one of the buttons on the remote to change the audio output settings?

Any feedback on this matter would be gratefully received.

I was obviously looking in the wrong place for the answer.

Anyway, I’m assuming that if you’ve requested the switching as an enhancement there should be a good chance of it happening.
