For your old personal media library users like myself, list allowed me to easily navigate through titles that can run a bit long (in my case old baseball games) rather than having to hover over a tile and wait for the title to scroll.
Defaulting everything to grid view, especially in subfolders with the vertical tile, makes for a clunky experience.
The new UI is perfectly fine for me otherwise - just bring this back.
I have 2 personal collections of videos that were initially designed to be viewed as a list, and I’m rather frustrated with this change.
At the moment I can just pull them up on my PC and cast to my TV, but this isn’t a reasonable workaround.
PLEX is a Personal Media Server/Player, I need it to function to meet my needs. I’ve been a Paying member for over ten years. I’ve almost left PLEX for other reasons on several occasions. And it’s really getting harder to stay.
Please, PLEX, stop decreasing function and usability in order to ‘beautify’ your product!
I don’t like the new navigation either. It should be an option!
Totally agree, why can it not be an option to switch to list view on the mobile apps. On web it is list view. How is that logical? Mobile also means 2160p screens on Google TV or Fire TV. Come on guys… it’s a simple option button.
p.s.: also a long time paying member and frustrated to wait for text to start scrolling on my home cinema entertainment system when trying to watch family home videos.
