Actor avatar does nothing when pressed. On all other players, pressing the avatar initiates a search for that actor in your library.
Someone already reported this bug (missing feature) back in September 2020, but it has yet to be resolved/implemented. Today is August 15, 2021. The topic was automatically closed, so I’m opening a new one in case people just forgot about it.

++ when you are on a movie ‘page’, when you scroll down (I mean with the shield remote…) after few seconds, it automatically scrolls up! this is also very annoying…

I would also like to throw my hat in. We have been waiting for this feature for quite a while. It works in Roku, why not Android?

My grandma has been complaining about this recently. She loves to guess actors’ other movies. Did the feature work and stopped working recently?
Bump. Loved this feature on my old roku tv. Would love to have it back.
Even if they get this working it’s not working correctly in the Web version of Plex either.
If I click on Nathan Fillion in the TV-Series “The Rookie” I get no more results.
If I change to my “Movies” category and search for Nathan Fillion, I get hits for several movies I have where he’s an actor.
Searching for an actor should be across all my local libraries not just in the one I’m in.
Cast search is scoped per library and not per plex server which is why you see results like this. Its a major limitation of this functionality which many of us have been asking years for.
Clicking on actors was just implemented in the latest beta Plex for Android 8.30.0.30648-beta. Thanks Plex!
