When viewing a movie and click on a actor, we can't see other movies in our Plex actor stared in

Hello.

i noticed that when you use plex on Apple-TV, when you go into a movie, where all the cast are listed, you click on a actor and you can see all the movies in your Plex Media the actor stared in.

it also works in Plex Server., but in Android-TV this doesn’t work. don’t know why Android does not have this. you click and nothing.

can it be possible for Android-Tv to have this option also? it is a nice feature.

I am also waiting for this integration and had already mentioned this in the German forum. Unfortunately, I did not get a statement when the support comes there

This is my only and major complaint of plex on the shield. With the new layout and Apple TV app being available now, I would much rather use the shield except for this glaring issue that the plex developers don’t want to fix. Considering that every other platform plex serves to supports it, I would almost say that this is a bug on android TV not a feature request.

Seriously, it already works on other platforms, Roku has had this feature for a long time now. How hard is it to implement on andriod?

The part I don’t understand, is that Plex themselves chose the Android TV (specifically the nVidia Shield) as their best supported platform. In turn many went out and bought an nVidia Shield. Then just putting the Android TV / nVidia Shield app on the bottom of the priority queue.

I have the Android TV app on three TVs and this is a pain in the butt!! Yet another issue Plex is well aware of but choose to do nothing about.

There shouldn’t need to be a feature request for feature parity on a feature that works on pretty much every other client and used to work on the Android client.

This used to work on Roku devices, but it no longer works. I hope it is just a glitch with the latest update of the server.
