[Bug?/Feature Request] Focus search input when activating PlexAmp through keyboard shortcut

Hello all,

First of all I’d like to say that PlexAmp v3 is superb and I love using it on my phone. Today I’ve started using PlexAmp again on my desktop, but I couldn’t find anything on keyboard shortcuts. However, I’ve discovered that (most) keyboard shortcuts from the previous PlexAmp work just fine.

However, my issue is that when activating the PlexAmp window using Ctrl+Shift+Space, it doesn’t focus the search input. This means that the keyboard shortcut is fairly useless because I’ll need my mouse anyway to click the search box before I can start typing my search query.

I’m not sure if this is a bug or if it’s on the roadmap (considering the keyboard shortcuts are there, but undocumented).

Weird, when I use Shift+Alt+Space, I get the the search field focussed instantly.

@OttoKerner Seems that this is a bug then. It indeed works using Shift+Alt+Space which always opens the Search tab, but Ctrl+Shift+Space opens whatever tab was open at that time, so it only works if the Search tab was already open.

Then don’t use CTRL+Shift+Space

A related thing, not a bug, but it would be nice if when you click on the Search button on the toolbar it auto-focuses on the search input field.

But then again, you’d miss the Aural Fixations and Recent Searches, which are vanishing if the search input is focussed.

easy, don’t hide those things until the user starts typing. the whole point of going into the searcher is to search for something, so that should be the default and easiest thing to do.
