Bug: iOS app crashes when seeking in multi-part files (web player works fine)

Hi,
I’m experiencing a repeatable crash in the Plex iOS app when playing multi-part video files and seeking within the video. This only happens on iOS – the same content plays and seeks fine in the web app.
Environment
• iOS device: iPad 13th gen
• iOS version: 26.3.1
• Plex iOS app version: 2026.4.1
• Plex Media Server version (web player): 4.159.0
• Server OS / setup: Proxmox VE (PVE) with PMS running in an LXC (home server)
File structure / media details
• Example filenames:
Movie.part1.mkv
Movie.part2.mkv
• Multi-part files are recognized and shown as a single item in the Plex library.
• The Plex web player (v4.159.0) can play and seek these titles without any issue.
• Playback mode on iOS: Direct Play
Steps to reproduce

  1. Open Plex iOS app on the iPad and start playing a multi-part file (combined part1, part2, …).
  2. Let the video play for a short time (for example 10–30 seconds).
  3. Use the seek bar / scrubber to jump forward, or fast‑forward by dragging the timeline.
  4. Shortly after seeking, the iOS app crashes (closes back to the home screen).
This is reproducible every time with these multi-part files.
On the web player, the same title can play and seek without any crashes.
    Expected behavior
    • The iOS app should allow seeking within multi-part files without crashing, just like the web player.
    Actual behavior
    • On iOS, as soon as I seek (especially jumping forward) during playback of a multi-part title, the app crashes to the iPad home screen.
    • No in‑app error message is shown; playback simply stops because the app has crashed.
Thanks in advance for taking a look at this.
